P95460/95465 LS-1 Modular Valve Covers.

Supplies Needed:

- Anti-Seize Compound - 1/2” Socket

- Torque wrench that reads inch-pounds - 5/32“ Allen wrench

- 5/16” 12pt. Socket - 3/16“ Allen wrench

These valve covers are designed to work with GM LS-1 coils P/N 12558948 if you do not have this coil do not proceed until

you have the correct coils for installation.

Install spacer nuts into cylinder head and torque to 45 inch-pounds. Do Not Over-Tighten!

Install gasket (not supplied) into gasket rail on valve cover base, place valve cover on cyl. head.

Place a 1/4” flat washer onto each of the 1/4-20 X 1-1/4” socket head cap screws and thread

thru valve cover into spacer nut. Torque each fastener to 96 inch-pounds.

Do Not Over-Tighten!

Remove coils and harnesses from the factory metal coil bracket. Mount coils to the valve cover base and attach with the

1/4-20 X 3/4” button head cap screws.

Prepare wire harness (1) for installation by removing the three clips (2) that are taped to the harness with electrical tape.

Finish by removing the white plastic retention straps (3). The harness is now ready to install.

Clip each plug into the coils, make sure the #1/8 harness (marked with identifying tape) is on the left coil as shown (4).

Beginning with the coil next to the oil fill, push those four wires down and under the corner of the

coil as shown (5).

•Coil Cover Top Installation

Apply Anti-Seize to the threads of the 1/4-20 X 1-1/4 ARP 12pt. cap screws.

Install top billet coil cover carefully not to pinch coil harness and tighten.

Note; At this time if you are not going to relocate the plug for the harness,

it is recommended to remove the metal clip on the back of the plug so as

not to scratch the valve cover.

Finish by laying the rest of the harness across the top

of the coils as shown. (6)

The large plug will now be in

position to route through

the notch in the top cover.
